High Security
High resolution, motion detecting cameras, monitor the outside perimeter of the NetRiver building and supporting facilities. In addition, onsite security guards monitor the outside camera surveillance system and check-in authentication process. Clients are issued specific proximity cards and biometric access control is coupled with key card entry. Clients are also monitored within the facility via an infrared motion detecting camera system. Access groups are broken into Administrative contacts and Technical contacts for tiered decision-making and access control. Individual keys to each cabinet are provided for authorized personnel. Alternatively, NetRiver also provides custom suites with specific proximity cards, access codes, and biometric access controls. Current security requirements are in effect for clientele dealing with SOX, HIPAA, and SAS 70 II compliance initiatives.
SAS 70 II Compliance
The SAS 70 II compliance process provides an independently audited review that ensures the processes a company represents to clients are being followed. NetRiver has recently completed its SAS 70 II review process and offers a relevant data center for clients looking to complete their own SAS 70 designation. As a full service colocation provider, NetRiver makes auditable information relevant to its clients to the point necessary to complete their SAS 70 review.
HIPAA Compliance
The rules surrounding companies dealing with health information make it of paramount importance that a company understands how collocating their equipment within the data center can affect their liability with protected health information (PHI). The medical environment not only necessitates a high degree of uptime of the computing infrastructure, but also a firm understanding of the legal environment that exists when these companies choose to use a data center for their hosting needs. NetRiver has a large user base of HIPAA related companies who choose to use our data center for the high degree to uptime, as well as the ability to guarantee our standards meet those set forth under the Business Associate Agreement as defined by HIPAA.
Design to Build
NetRiver can provide a specific design/build for clients with colocation needs of ten racks or more. Space can also be provided in a secure caged environment apart from the normal hot aisle/cold aisle racks on the data center floor. Specific power requirements can be satisfied up to 20kW in an N+1 configuration. NetRiver also offers full procurement services for specific site design builds to include site selection/acquisition, data center design, server room tenant improvement financing, and on-site staffing needs for clients with larger or site specific data center needs.
Disaster Recovery – Hot site/Warm site replication
NetRiver offers a local replication scheme for clients looking to backup their data within the Seattle/Lynnwood data center. A direct connection is run from the client rack to the HP EVA SAN providing a fast cheap repository for a cost effective disaster recovery solution.
Clientele with more demanding uptime needs have the ability to use the Seattle and Spokane colocation facility for a hot site/warm site replication scheme. A direct
P-T-P fiber ring connects the two geographically diverse data centers allowing for cheaper transport pricing and a faster connection. In the event of a data center failure in Seattle/Lynnwood, an alternative route out of the Spokane facility provides internet failover connectivity as well as a geographic diversity for colocated equipment.
