Kenneth R. Parent, CEO

Mr. Parent is a seasoned corporate executive with over 25 years of experience. Prior to ByteGrid™, Mr. Parent was the Chief Operating Officer of The Mills Corporation, a NYSE listed publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust that acquired, developed, leased and operated large scale commercial real estate properties. Mr. Parent joined the Mills Corporation in September 1994 and was the Company’s Chief Financial Officer before becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2002.

During his tenure at Mills, Mr. Parent was part of an executive team that transformed a small project-by-project real estate developer with only four primary assets in the U.S. and less than 200 employees into the largest fully integrated multi-national retail real estate development company in the industry, with nearly $8B in assets including 31 properties in four different countries (19 of which were internally developed) and over 1500 employees. Mr. Parent oversaw most aspects of the company’s operations including capital markets, asset management, acquisitions and dispositions, and property management. Under Mr. Parent’s supervision, the Company was successful in raising over $10B in public and private equity and debt. He also oversaw the acquisition of nearly $3B in significant real estate projects (23.4M in gross leasable sq. ft.) during a three-year period (from 2003 to 2005), nearly doubling the size of the company in the process, and helped expand the Company internationally into the Canadian and European markets.

Prior to joining the Mills Corporation, Mr. Parent was a Senior Manager with the accounting firm of Kenneth Leventhal & Co. in Los Angeles, California where he managed some of their largest commercial real estate engagements. He began his career with the accounting firm Price Waterhouse and received his B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Manuel F. Mencia, President

Mr. Mencia is an accomplished corporate executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years experience in the information technology and telecommunications services sectors. Prior to ByteGrid™, Mr. Mencia was the President and CEO of Cubecorp LLC, a premier provider of mission-critical outsourcing solutions and services with operations in the U.S. and Latin America. Under his oversight, Cubecorp acquired, grew and sold the leading data center operations in Argentina; developed business process outsourcing, call center technical support and software development product offerings; acquired the leading healthcare SAP consultancy in Latin America; and, launched SmartCube Ltd, a spin-off formed in 2009 that provides modular datacenter products and services.

Previously, Mr. Mencia was President of OptiGlobe Communications Inc. Optiglobe built and operated 400,000 square feet of Tier IV datacenters in Latin America offering collocation, hosting and managed services to large local and multi-national clients. Mr. Mencia launched and held full profit and loss responsibility for complex IT and network infrastructure and services subsidiaries in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Chile. Responsibilities also included country operations, service delivery, facilities management, engineering, technology development and financial operations.

Mr. Mencia began his career with MCI and held a variety of key executive leadership roles during his tenure including: Vice President of Access Management responsible for billions of dollars of annual telecommunications line costs; Vice President of Service Delivery responsible for the design and provisioning of 8,000 service orders per month; and, Director of International Network Engineering and Operations responsible for technical matters globally, which included bilateral negotiations with foreign carriers/PTTs, active involvement in Intelsat and consortium submarine cable systems, and the creation of Concert, Avantel and other joint ventures.

Donald W. Goodwin, Jr., EVP – Leasing & Marketing

Mr. Goodwin is a proven team builder and corporate executive with over 20 years’ experience in the information technology, data center and telecommunication services sectors. Don serves as BYTEGRID’s Executive Vice President responsible for marketing, leasing and business development.

Prior to BYTEGRID, Mr. Goodwin was the Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of Latisys, a national colocation, managed hosting and services company. Under his leadership, the company accelerated revenue over 300% across a two plus year period through organic sales, business development and acquisition, catapulting a small data center holding company into a fast growth, well-known national service provider. Previously, Mr. Goodwin was Vice President Sales and Marketing of NTT America, the US data center and hosting business unit of NTT Communications (NYSE: NTT). Earlier Don served as the Vice President Strategic Alliances and Alternate Channels for SAVVIS (now CenturyLink NASDAQ: CTL), during its growth phase, with earlier years of his career at PSINet and Colo.com. Mr. Goodwin began his career with MCI during divestiture.

He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Todd A. Ellsworth, SVP – Acquisitions & General Counsel

Mr. Ellsworth has over 23 years experience in corporate law, investment banking, finance and real estate development. Prior to ByteGrid™ , Mr. Ellsworth was the Managing Partner of Searchlight Partners, a boutique investment banking, finance and strategic business consulting firm. While at Searchlight, Mr. Ellsworth provided, both on an international and domestic basis, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions and business development services to public, private/closely-held and early stage companies in a variety of industries, including technology, financial services, media and biopharmaceutical.

Previously, Mr. Ellsworth was the founding principal of Spyglass Development Company, through which he co-developed several commercial and residential real estate development projects, primarily in the San Francisco, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City markets. Mr. Ellsworth has significant experience with land acquisitions, including complicated assemblages, in addition to entitlement work, sales and marketing, and project finance. Mr. Ellsworth was also a principal with Pacific Financial Resources (PFR), a national “middle market” asset-based finance company. During his time with PFR, Mr. Ellsworth has been involved in the successful financing of over $250 million in various lease and financing transactions in a broad range of industries, including health care, hospitality, manufacturing and retail, with transactions ranging from true/capital leases to operating leases and off-balance sheet financings.

Mr. Ellsworth began his professional career at the Rodi Pollock law firm in Los Angeles from 1988 through 1995, where, as a practicing attorney, he focused primarily in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, real estate development, finance and securities law. Mr. Ellsworth holds a B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and after attending Regents College in London, England, obtained his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. During his law school career he was designated a Brock Scholar and was elected and served as President of the Student Bar Association. He is a current member of the California Bar.

William B. Holmes, PE, VP – Critical Infrastructure

Mr. Holmes is a proven data center operations and construction executive with over 25 years of combined private and public sector facilities management experience. Prior to joining ByteGrid, Mr. Holmes was with Grubb & Ellis Management Services, Inc. (GEMS) where he was Data Center Asset Manager and Mid-Atlantic Portfolio Manager for a Fortune 15 financial services account. In this role, Mr. Holmes was responsible for the management and operations of over 4 million square feet of facilities located in 6 states.

Previously, Mr. Holmes was the Director of Construction for the U.S. Capitol complex where he managed over $40,000,000 annually in construction projects throughout the 18 million square foot Capitol Complex including the House, Senate, Supreme Court and Library of Congress buildings. Projects included the historical restorations of the Dome of the Capitol, renovation of the Russell Senate office building and construction of the new Senate Library. Mr. Holmes supervised 30 professional construction managers, engineers and staff, over 200 government construction workers and a myriad of construction contractors. He also served as the first Capitol Facilities Manager where he was responsible for supervising the 5 maintenance jurisdictions in the Capitol Complex, which employed a maintenance and operation staff of over 1,500 personnel.

Prior to his position at the Capitol, Mr. Holmes served as a Commander in the Civil Engineer Corps of the U.S. Navy, where he held various assignments of increasing responsibility in facilities and construction management. He has served as the Head of Facility Management/Construction at Navy Washington Headquarters where he was responsible for several Naval complexes worldwide. His prior positions included managing the ground-up construction of the Naval Maritime Intelligence Center (NMIC), a 935,000 square foot data center located on 40 acres in Suitland MD. Mr. Holmes is a Registered Professional Engineer with a BSME from the U.S. Naval Academy and received his MSME from the University of Florida.

Dawn Beckles, SVP – Finance

Ms. Beckles has over 17 years of financial real estate experience and, as Senior Vice President of Finance, leads the Accounting and Finance function for BYTEGRID.

Prior to joining BYTEGRID, Ms. Beckles was the Chief Financial Officer of Aldon Management Corporation, a residential and commercial real estate company with assets in Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Washington D.C. where Ms. Beckles was responsible for the finance, accounting and asset management functions.

Previously, Ms. Beckles was the Controller of First Potomac Realty Trust, a NYSE listed publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust that acquires, develops, leases and operates office and industrial properties in the Greater Washington D.C. region. During her eight-year tenure at First Potomac, she was responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations and its internal and external financial reporting.

Prior to joining First Potomac, Ms. Beckles was a Property Controller at The Mills Corporation, a NYSE listed publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust that acquired, developed, leased and operated large scale commercial real estate properties.

Ms. Beckles began her professional career as an Auditor with Arthur Andersen LLP in Washington, D.C. where she performed audits, consultation and advisory services.

Ms. Beckles is a CPA and a graduate of American University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and a second degree in Economics. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Commercial Real Estate Women (“CREW”) and The National Association of Professional Women.

Paul Harris

Paul Harris comes to NetRiver with more than 15 years experience in the computing and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining NetRiver, Paul had a diverse career ranging from leading the production group at Active Voice to being the lead system architect for Lucent Technologies messaging and response products. As a proof-of-concept project, Paul was a founder and managing partner for APConnections, a wireless broadband service provider in Colorado. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. His passion for technology makes him highly enthusiastic to be a part of the NetRiver team.

ADAM VIERRA

Adam Vierra is responsible for the sales and marketing efforts at NetRiver. As both a retail and design/build colocation provider, he is engaged in contract negotiation, design, engineering, project costing, and oversight of the various data center build criteria. Having a background in Finance (B.S.B.A.) and seven years as a real estate broker/analyst, he provides a working knowledge of the interplay between finance, real estate, and computing infrastructure. He also serves as the Vice President of the local AFCOM chapter.
