Ed was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Miami University of Ohio and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science. After transferring to the west coast with the Formica Corporation as a Systems Analyst he attended Golden Gate University, San Francisco to acquire an MBA. He moved on to Hewlett Packard where he held several positions over a 17 year period; his last responsibility was a senior position as the North American Software Sales Manager. While at Hewlett Packard Ed studied toward and received a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Kennedy-Western University.
In January, 1996 Ed became Vice President of Indirect Sales for Intermec Technologies, an Everett, Washington corporation. Shortly thereafter, Ed was promoted to the position of Vice President of Sales and Service for all of Intermec Technologies excluding Intermec's European subsidiary. While Ed was at Intermec sales grew from $340M to $800M through internal growth and 2 acquisitions. Ed attempted early retirement but it did not last long. He joined a startup, HireRight Corporation in Los Angeles (a high technology background screening company), growing sales to $29M in a little over 2 years. Ed currently is the President and CEO of the National Identity Protection Bureau, a startup company focused on the early detection of Identity Theft for the consumer.
David MacKenzie is experienced in long term property management. He has earned a reputation for providing top tenant service and satisfaction resulting in above-average occupancy rates and tenant retention. He has a track record of reducing operation and labor costs; increasing rentable space; coordinating multiple projects and tasks; developing and effectively administering large budgets; and completing projects on time and within budget.
David is known for his skill at guiding fair negotiations with tenants, vendors and contractors, and for his understanding of HVAC technologies and construction. Starting out as a HVAC technician led David into building maintenance, which eventually led to facilities management and leasing consulting. David has been working in these fields for over 18 years.
Joe Vierra is responsible for the operational and asset based functions of DREAL and Belt Collins Design Group. With 40 years of experience in a variety of corporate roles, Mr. Vierra is also the President of Belt Collins Design Group and the Principal of Belt Collins Hawaii, Ltd. He has served as project engineer and project manager in the fields of resort infrastructure design development, highway and roadway design, engineering, airfield design, coastal engineering, water resource investigations, and property development for government and private industry. Mr. Vierra has managed and operated the companies' investments in Washington and Hawaii for the past 25 years.
Mike is a Washington native, having been born and raised in the Puget Sound area. Right out of high school he entered the Marine Corps, where he learned the benefits of discipline and routine that has served him well in his extensive professional sales career. Mike contributed to NetRiver in 2000 as an investor and shortly afterward joined the company as its Director of Sales, just prior to the 'dotcom' bust. During his time with NetRiver he implemented sales procedures and guided the company's sales teams with outstanding success. During the Internet markets downturn in 2001 Mike returned to the construction industry taking up a position in sales. Within just two short years Mike climbed the corporate ladder and settled into the Washington Sales and Training Management position for Masco Enterprises, the largest wholesale contracting construction company in the US. Mike now leads an extensive sales team across the state and has been responsible for doubling his territories sales figures.
Mike blends his former experiences with NetRiver and his current sales team management experience to fulfill a crucial function on NetRiver's Board of Directors. His grounded approach and alternative viewpoints shine light from alternate angles on all topics of discussion creating a much more dynamic experience - thus more creativity and ingenuity - for the Board as a whole.
Paul Harris comes to NetRiver with more than 15 years experience in the computing and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining NetRiver, Paul had a diverse career ranging from leading the production group at Active Voice to being the lead system architect for Lucent Technologies messaging and response products. As a proof-of-concept project, Paul was a founder and managing partner for APConnections, a wireless broadband service provider in Colorado. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. His passion for technology makes him highly enthusiastic to be a part of the NetRiver team.
